چکیده

In this study, the expansion and deformation of alkali–silica reaction (ASR)-affected concrete structures under natural environment multiaxial stress state are predicted. The performance ASR model proposed in previous research is quantitatively investigated terms relative humidity, stress, temperature dependencies based on experimental results. simulation results indicate that humidity-dependent caused by can be simulated effectively slightly modifying humidity threshold model. a focusing dependency, insufficient consideration relationship between compressive gel absorption into pores resulted discrepancies simulating dependency improved referring to rate recorded from specimens exposed real environment. An exposure experiment reinforced (RC) slab steel girders using modified show reproduce tendency three-dimensional RC slab, while improvement considering time-dependent stress-dependent phenomena should needed for long-term quantitative predictions.

Modeling Time-Dependent Behavior of Concrete Affected by Alkali Silica Reaction in Variable Environmental Conditions

Alkali Silica Reaction (ASR) is known to be a serious problem for concrete worldwide, especially in high humidity and high temperature regions. ASR is a slow process that develops over years to decades and it is influenced by changes in environmental and loading conditions of the structure. The problem becomes even more complicated if one recognizes that other phenomena like creep and shrinkage...

the effect of taftan pozzolan on the compressive strength of concrete in the environmental conditions of oman sea (chabahar port)

cement is an essential ingredient in the concrete buildings. for production of cement considerable amount of fossil fuel and electrical energy is consumed. on the other hand for generating one tone of portland cement, nearly one ton of carbon dioxide is released. it shows that 7 percent of the total released carbon dioxide in the world relates to the cement industry. considering ecological issu...

Substructure Model for Concrete Behavior Simulation under Cyclic Multiaxial Loading

This paper proposes a framework for the constitutive model based on the semi-micromechanical aspects of plasticity, including damage progress for simulating behavior of concrete under multiaxial loading. This model is aimed to be used in plastic and fracture analysis of both regular and reinforced concrete structures, for the framework of sample plane crack approach. This model uses multilamina...

Numerical Simulation of Behaviour of Reinforced Concrete 1 Structures Considering Corrosion Effects on Bonding

7 Corrosion of reinforcing steel in concrete can alter the interface between the steel and concrete and 8 thus affects the bond mechanism. This subsequently influences the behaviour of reinforced 9 concrete structures in terms of their safety and serviceability. The present paper attempts to 10 develop a numerical method that can simulate the behaviour of reinforced concrete walls subjected 11 ...

Influence of environmental temperatures on the concrete compressive strength: simulation of hot and cold weather conditions

This work has as objective to study the influence of mixing hour in the concrete properties such as workability and compressive strength in hot and cold weather conditions from an industrially applied point of view. The foremost studied variable was the concrete mixing hour, having used five mixing hours for every weather conditions. For each mixing hour, were carried out three concrete batches...
